That image right there is a just a small glimpse of the Christmas that has exploded in my living room. Wrapping paper, ribbon, gift tags, scissors…all evidence of a girl VERY behind on present preparation. One of my goals earlier this month was to finish all of my Christmas shopping early. Well, that didn’t happen. Here I am still several gifts short, and Seth and I leave for Pennsylvania TOMORROW MORNING! WHAT!?!?! Looks like we’ll be finishing our shopping up north.
It’s moments like these that I try to stop and take the time to remember the season’s REAL meaning. It’s not about the presents, the shopping, the madness of the cooking spree that starts Christmas Eve. It’s about remembering the birth of a Savior, and celebrating such an amazing gift! It’s also about spending time with those close to you without worrying about anything else. This truly is the most wonderful time of the year. If you too have fallen behind on all the preparations…don’t fret. Take a moment to be thankful for your family, friends, and the greatest gift of all.
Merry Christmas everyone!
